While there are a lot of people like eating Chocolate, there is a difference between “enjoying” and “addicting”.

Studies show that chocolate can help releasing depression.  So if someone is feeling depress frequently, rather than dealing with the problem from depression itself, people will often seeking quick alternative way to dissolve that, and one of their solution is to eating chocolate.

However, if someone relies on it so much that, they have to eat some chocolate every day or they cannot start their day, this is clearly an addiction which will, as a result, hurting themselves.

Actually, over 2 billions pounds of chocolate was consumed every year by U.S. alone, which added 11 pounds each person on average.  And that extra pounds lead to obesity, migraines, heartburn and so on.
